HEFAMAA to Hold World Patient Safety Day 2022
The Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) will on Thursday 15th September 2022 join millions of people across the world to celebrate World Patient Safety Day 2022.
The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr Abiola Idowu yesterday disclosed that the event is aimed at emphasizing the importance of patient safety and creating discussions around the Y2022 theme, “Medication Safety” with the slogan, “Medication Without Harm.”
She stated, “The Agency is leveraging the celebration to raise the necessary awareness, motivate collaborations and stimulate innovative work that will reduce unsafe medication practices.”

She revealed that the event which will hold at the Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos will have in attendance government agencies, public and private healthcare providers, regulatory bodies and professional associations in the health sector, captains of industries, Civil society groups, religious leaders, traditional rulers and chiefs, caregivers, and policymakers and other dignitaries.
