
The Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Victoria Egunjobi as its new Executive Secretary.
Dr. Egunjobi is a highly accomplished Public Health Physician with over 20 years of distinguished service in the Lagos State Public Service, bringing with her a wealth of experience in public health programme management, health systems strengthening, and strategic healthcare administration.
Throughout her career, she has made significant contributions across critical areas of healthcare delivery and policy implementation, including Data Management, Malaria Control, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, Family Planning, Gender-Based Violence response, and broader Health Systems Strengthening initiatives.
She has played a pivotal role in the planning and execution of medium and large-scale health interventions aimed at improving maternal and child health outcomes across Lagos State. Her work has supported the implementation of high-impact interventions in both public and private health facilities, contributing meaningfully to improved healthcare access and service delivery statewide.
Dr. Egunjobi has held several strategic positions within the Lagos State Ministry of Health, including Health Management Information System (HMIS) Officer, Knowledge Management Focal Person, Secretary of the Health Research Committee, Verification Officer for the State’s Births & Deaths Registry, and Medical Officer in the Planning Division of the Directorate of Planning, Research and Statistics.
She also served as the Reproductive Health Coordinator for the Lagos State Ministry of Health, where she provided overall supervision for Safe Motherhood, Family Planning, Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response (MPDSR), Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, and accountability mechanisms for RMNCAH+N programmes.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Egunjobi served as Director, Disease Control, where she provided overall coordination for communicable and non-communicable disease programmes in Lagos State.
Her appointment as Executive Secretary of HEFAMAA reflects her exceptional track record of service, leadership, and commitment to improving healthcare standards and strengthening regulatory systems within the health sector.
We are confident that under her visionary leadership, HEFAMAA will continue to advance its mandate of monitoring, regulating, and accrediting health facilities across Lagos State to ensure quality, safe, and accessible healthcare for all.
