The Permanent Secretary, Yobe State Ministry of Health, Mr. Hamidu Muhammad Alhaji has commended the Health Facility Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) for its efforts in bolstering the health of Lagosians.
Hamidu, who made the commendation last week at CBD, Alausa, Ikeja during a three-day visit to the Agency stated that the mission of the delegation was to understudy HEFAMAA’s processes and activities adding that the visit would also afford them the opportunity to “broaden their knowledge on supervision and regulation of Health Agencies with a view to improving the healthcare system in Yobe State.”
In her welcome address, the Executive Secretary of the Agency, Dr. Abiola Idowu expressed her appreciation for the visit saying that she is convinced that the Yobe State Health Ministry is passionate about improving the health of its citizens. She promised to do everything within her capacity to educate the team on HEFAMAA’s mandate to monitor and inspect both public and private health facilities in Lagos State amongst other responsibilities.
Highlights of the events were presentations on e-hefamaa, an overview of HEFAMAA, the Health Sector Reform Law, HEFAMAA’s processes as well a tour of some health facilities in the State.
