The Executive Secretary, Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA), Dr. Abiola Idowu has disclosed that a petition received from one of the daughters of the late Mr Joseph Mangtup Din who died at Reddington Hospital has been referred to the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria for adjudication on whether the management rendered to the late patient conforms to best practices.
Dr. Idowu explained that Mr Joseph died at the hospital following a Colectomy surgery carried out at the facility adding, ” After the petition was received, an investigation of the case was carried out by HEFAMAA and its findings were reviewed by the Board of the Agency. It was therefore decided to refer the petition to the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria for adjudication on whether the management rendered to the late patient conforms to best practices.”
